A previously overlooked and degraded community amenity, Pomerado Creek, became the cherished centerpiece of this affordable apartment complex, built for seniors in a suburban rental neighborhood.

Brookview’s buildings form courtyards facing the creek and revegetated habitat, and a pedestrian bridge crosses the creek to the Commons building. Internal walkways, at grade and elevated, have shady places to sit and socialize while taking in the native landscape.
