Carlsbad (CA) Public Safety and Services Center Master PlanMaster Plan, including illustrative plans, to organize five major public facilities on a 26-acre site. Uses are organized around a central open space for recreation and public gatherings.
Chula Vista (CA) Civic CenterMaster Plan for facilities expansion, including preservation of "small town" concept, planning and design guidelines for landscape, hardscape, parking and open space use.

La Jolla (CA) Planning StudiesThe Waterfront Workshop and Design Charrette, led by a nationally-recognized team, was a weekend public planning conference with residents of this village just north of San Diego to establish an urban design direction. It also anchored the Girard Avenue Streetscape Design and Coastline Design Study, which provided planning and design guidelines for a 1.5-mile coastline section. It has guided the scale and character of improvements like walks, landscaping, park buildings and furnishings.
Linda Vista Economic Revitalization StudyCommunity workshops helped identify issues and delineate projects to revitalize a commercial core in San Diego isolated by traffic changes.

Solana Beach (CA) Planning StudiesWith the related Solana Beach Highway 101 and Beach Area Specific Plan, the Park and Community Center Master Plan defines a civic axis between a narrow beach park and the community’s center, and provides for increased future use along the axis. The Specific Plan used public workshops to help establish guidelines for urban design, landscape architecture, public improvements and mixed-use pedestrian revitalization. All aimed to reconcile the city’s growing appeal as a northern San Diego suburb with its historic small-town feel.
Vista (CA) Planning StudiesA Downtown Specific Plan for revitalizing downtown Vista incorporated market analysis plus land use and open space recommendations for this historic small town northeast of San Diego being eroded by outlying strip malls. A Village Guidelines Study helped establish landscape guidelines and visual character for the downtown, setting specific development criteria for public and private improvement. A Village Redevelopment Plan looked at streetscape, creek rehabilitation and landscape design for a mixed use, 25-acre revitalization project, adjacent to historic city center, that included cinemas, retail, restaurants, multi-modal transit center, creek park and outdoor market.
